The deal
between us.
Plain-English terms. We'll do our part to deliver the platform; we ask a few simple things of you in return.
Last updated · May 7, 2026
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using RAAS Academy, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a new "last updated" date, and where appropriate we'll email registered users.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secret. Don't share your account with anyone — courses are licensed per-person.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you're younger, use the platform with a parent or guardian.
Tell us promptly if you suspect your account has been compromised so we can lock it. Your password is hashed; not even we can read it.
3. Course access and payment
Courses are sold as one-time purchases. Once payment is confirmed, you have lifetime access to the course content (subject to these terms remaining in effect).
Payments are processed via mobile-money aggregators (Zaad and others). When you enrol, we send the requested amount to the aggregator and unlock the course on their successful confirmation. Pricing is shown on each course page and is in USD unless stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to change pricing for future enrolments; courses you've already paid for are not affected.
4. Refunds
We offer a refund within 7 days of enrolment if you've completed less than 10% of the course's lessons. Email hello@raazacademy.com from your account address. After 7 days or 10% completion, refunds are case-by-case and at our discretion.
Refunds are returned via the original payment channel where possible. Aggregator fees are non-refundable.
5. What you can and can't do
Allowed: study the courses, take notes, share what you've learned, ask the instructor questions, write about your experience.
Not allowed:
- Re-publishing, reselling, or distributing course videos or written material — they remain the property of the instructor and RAAS Academy.
- Sharing your account credentials. Each enrolment is per-person.
- Scraping or attempting to bypass the platform's access controls.
- Uploading content (notes, profile fields, announcements) that's defamatory, illegal, or violates someone else's rights.
- Using the platform to harass, dox, or threaten other learners or instructors.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
6. Instructor responsibilities
If you teach on RAAS Academy, you are responsible for:
- Owning (or having the right to use) all content you publish.
- Course accuracy and any claims you make to students.
- Responding to enrolled students' announcements within a reasonable time.
- Following these terms and our published instructor guide.
You retain copyright in your course material. By publishing on RAAS Academy, you grant us a license to host, stream, and promote it on the platform for as long as your course is published.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the platform online and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages, and unexpected issues happen. We'll communicate planned downtime when we can.
We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions, lost progress, or third-party service failures.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The platform is provided "as is." We don't promise the content will fit your specific situation, that the platform will be error-free, or that following a course will produce a particular outcome (a job, a salary, a credential recognized by a third party).
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the platform is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
10. Termination
You can close your account at any time from your settings or by emailing us. We can suspend or close your account if you breach these terms.
On termination, you lose access to courses you haven't yet completed. Where you've paid for a course and not violated these terms, we'll work in good faith on a refund or transfer.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which RAAS Academy is registered. Disputes will be heard in the courts of that jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights.
